Hot Tub Shopping Tips from Dan

All Hot Tubs Guaranteed
WHY ASK FOR A WARRANTY WHEN YOU CAN HAVE A GUARANTEE?
Warrantees protect the seller, not the buyer. They tell you how soon you're on your own. How soon you have until your hot tub cracks or stops working altogether and the seller says "tough luck."
The Beachcomber Guarantee gives you a promise: we'll back up our workmanship for as long as you own our product.
See the full guarantee for details. And trust us, they're good details!

Many Hot Tub manufacturers put in a lot of jets in their tubs giving the illusion of a lot of water pressure. In fact this makes for a much weaker shell. Along with having a lot of jets a lot of piping needs to be installed and much of this piping is not properly designed of sealed to accept a hydraulic load. Over time this will create weak spots and eventually end up leaking.
- Beware of mis-information. When someone shows you an empty shell and tells you to look at all the insulation please use your judgment. When they tell you that the heat from the pumps provide the necessary heat for the tub cavity please use your judgment. How hot do their pumps get? Hot enough to burn a deck and damage a tub!
- Kick the sides of the tubs to see if they will get damaged. Okay, please don’t literally try this on a tub! Just lean or rattle the sides and this will give you a clue of the construction quality.
- Internally the tub design should not have sharp edges that are uncomfortable and can be dangerous. Look for shallow (see-through) spots within all the corners of the tub insides. This indicates a weak spot in manufacturing.
- No tub will ever have their water be perfectly chemically balanced. I have tried this at my own shops and it is virtually impossible to do. Many of our competition have it in writing that they will void their warranty with you.
This is an easy out for them to not do business with their customer.
- Look for the construction of the tub in general. Can it sit on any surface or are there any special requirements to add insulation and a perfectly level ground. This should flag the consumer that if their product has to meet this requirement then there is possibility for tub damage due to twisting from a frame that can barely support the water in that tub. Anyone that carries a level with them and will void their warranties with you should also be questioned about their tubs self destruction because of uneven weight. The Beachcomber Hot Tub’s can be placed on any surface, the ground does not have to be level. The only event here is that the water will be deeper on one side than the other. Beachcomber will not void their guarantee with the customer because of ill-balanced chemicals.
It appears to us that it’s a no brainer for a purchase. If you think your going to save monies by not investing in a quality tub then you deserve the multitude of down line repairs associated with the initial sale. Some competition could give you a free tub and make up their losses in repairs alone!!!
If one cannot get Warranty or Guarantee information from the Hot Tub company you are considering we have originals in our shops that we can provide photo copies of and then you can make your own choice.
The very first time trying a hot tub was on August of 2005. I floated!
And was laughed at by the crew as they were also in the tub. I was no longer without this special knowledge. My mother never told me how wonderful it was to sit in a Hot Tub! We now enjoy our Hot Tub at our leisure. Remember, you get what you pay for!
